LOL! I think most of this ridiculousness came in the wake of the 60's TV series. When I got to see the car close up I was amazed at the number of bat-this and bat-tat labels there were on EVERYTHING. Bat-poon indeed.

I think this would make a better B movie than a novel. P&P&Z was terrible, IMHO.

I think what the Lost folks are trying to say is that they aren't going to just randomly come up with trite explanations just because people ask for them in the broadest terms. The closing chapters of the new Battlestar Galactica was guilty of that "let's just tack on some explanations" thing. I think they're just preparing fans for the fact that they aren't going to spell out every little thing just to make you feel better. Life's full of mysteries, Lost fans. Deal with it. besides, the more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that Lost is a takeoff on Stephen King's Dark Tower series. Let's see... numbers that reappear over and over? Check! A crippled character that can suddenly walk again? Check! Multiple realities that exist at different points in time? Check! Flashbacks and flash-forwards? Check!

As to Lucas, the prequels featured the laziest writing I've ever seen, but I think the midichlorians were invented to rid the world of the Jedi church. Lucas is a lot of things but L. Ron Hubbard he is not.

I think he's an original based on Kobra Kahn. See here: http://www.he-man.org/collecting/toy.php?id=1094

There are too many similarities for it to be a coincidence. I figure the he-man folks just didn't want to give them a license. You know, Toy Story becomes a lot more difficult to produce if you set it after Star Wars. Most action figure toys were licensed properties after 1977.

I found your site just searching around. I share the same memories for these games. I've spent a lot of time in creating a parts and repair site for everyone to enjoy.
